It’s that time of year again. London Art Book Fair hits Whitechapel Art Gallery this Friday 26 – Sunday 28 September 2014 and to celebrate, we highlight some of the favourite books we've licensed over the past year.
A Painter's Progress: A Portrait of Lucien Freud (Random House)
A fascinating compilation of photographs by David Dawson, who worked as an assistant and model for Lucien Freud for almost 20 years. The intimate photographs depict the notoriously private painter at work in his studio, as well as the guests he entertained. The book includes a portrait we licensed by his friend and contemporary, Francis Bacon.

ArtLovers: Stories of art in the Pinault collection (Grimaldi Forum)
The accompanying catalogue to this summer’s exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, an annual occasion which brings together works in the Pinault collection, curated around an important artistic movement or theme. It includes art by Jake & Dinos Chapman, Dan Flavin and Damien Hirst.

Body and Void: Echoes of Moore in Contemporary Art (The Henry Moore Foundation)
This catalogue accompanies the current exhibition at Perry Green, on view until 26 October. It trails Henry Moore’s footprint on contemporary art - how the central themes of his work have been taken up and reinterpreted by some of today’s most significant artists, including Richard Long, Roger Hiorns and Anish Kapoor.

This beautiful hardback accompanies the Tate Modern’s phenomenally successful touring exhibition of Matisse’s ‘cut-out’ art. Institute of Contemporary Arts: 1946 – 1968 (Institute of Contemporary Arts)
A fascinating in-depth history of the ICA by Anne Massey and Gregor Muir which highlights its important role in the development of contemporary art. During this period it was home to the pioneering Independent Group and host of ground-breaking exhibitions by Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.

London Art Book Fair 2014, which brings together over 80 art book publishers from around the world. The free event takes place at Whitechapel Art Gallery in London from Friday 26 September to Sunday 28 September.
