New opportunities for artists and estates to join DACS’ Board

DACS is looking for three visual artists or artists’ estates to join its Board of Directors, as part of our drive to give artists more say in how we are run. The positions are open to all members, and the deadline to apply is Monday 7 July 2014.

Help lead DACS and shape its future

The creation of three new Director positions follows the overwhelming support we received from our members in last year’s stakeholder consultation to increase the representation of artists and estates on our Board.

It will mean six out of twelve Board members will be artists and artist estates, ensuring artists are always at the heart of our decision-making.

We are looking for candidates who share our ambition to transform the financial landscape for visual artists, and whose knowledge and expertise will complement our current Board. They will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of DACS and its business planning, to ensure we are delivering the highest quality services in the best interest of artists.

As Copyright Licensing, Artist’s Resale Right and/or Payback members, they will also be able to provide insight on behalf of other DACS members.

    How to apply

You can read more information about the position by visiting our Job opportunities page and downloading the information pack.

To apply, you must submit a personal statement, your CV and details of two referees.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon, Monday 7 July 2014.
