We aim to make the process of requesting permission to reproduce a work of art as smooth as possible.

You should allow at least 10 working days to obtain a licence. Some artists and estates ask that we consult them whenever a licence is requested and this takes time.

If you intend to crop, overprint or manipulate an artwork, please send us a mock-up of how it will look and note that we will have to consult the artist or estate, and this may slow down the licensing process.

How it works

  1. 1. You request a licence

You can do so online, or by contacting us on 0207 780 7550 or [email protected]. The more information you provide, the quicker we will be able to process your request.

Source images using our digital image resource, Artimage.

  2. 2. We'll provide a quote and advise you how long it will take

We try to acknowledge requests within 24 hours of receiving them (read about our service standards in our Code of Conduct).

  3. 3. We agree terms with you

Read through our terms and conditions carefully. Once permission has been granted, we will issue two signed copies of the licence agreement. Sign both copies and return one to us.

  4. 4. We invoice you

Once we receive notification that you wish to proceed, we’ll invoice you for the full cost of the licence. If we've also provided you with an image, you’ll receive an additional invoice. You must pay within 30 days (read our Code of Conduct).
