The Queen honours DACS artists Sir Anish Kapoor, Grayson Perry, Thomas Heatherwick and Albert Irvin

    DACS congratulates our represented artists Sir Anish Kapoor, Grayson Perry, Thomas Heatherwick and Albert Irvin who have been honoured in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2013.

    Sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor was awarded a knighthood, and both ceramist Grayson Perry and designer Thomas Heatherwick were awarded CBEs. The painter Albert Irvin was awarded an OBE.
     
    The honours recognise Anish Kapoor, Grayson Perry and Albert Irvin’s extraordinary contributions to visual art and Thomas Heatherwick’s contribution to the design industry.

    Congratulations also go out to our friends Nicholas Serota, Director at Tate, who has been awarded a Companion of Honour, and Kevin Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the CLA, who has been honoured with a CMG.
