The eleventh edition of Frieze Art Fair takes place in London’s Regent’s Park this weekend, Thursday 17 October - Sunday 20 October 2013.
Frieze London 2013 highlights
This year, Frieze London will be the biggest ever, bringing together over 150 of the world’s leading galleries to showcase and sell work by over a thousand contemporary artists.
Beyond its commercial function, Frieze is also a rare opportunity to view artworks by today’s leading artists just before they are sold and whisked away by their new owners.
Artists whose representative galleries will be showcasing their work include Jane and Louise Wilson (
303 Gallery, New York); Roger Hiorns and Lynette Yiadom-Baoyke (
Corvi-Mora, London); John Stezaker (
The Approach, London); Jim Lambie, Sarah Lucas, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd and Gregor Schneider (
Sadie Coles, London); and Cornelia Parker (
Frith Street, London).
The sculpture garden will also display artwork from the medieval period to the present day, including new work by Oscar Murillo and Alice Channer, as well pieces by Rachel Whiteread, Yinka Shonibare MBE (RA), David Shrigley and Elmgreen & Dragset. Unlike the rest of Frieze, access to the sculpture garden is free to members of the public.
This year also sees two new specialist sections in the fair; ‘Frame’ and ‘Focus’. The former will present solo shows of artists represented by young galleries and the latter, projects which have been specifically conceived for Frieze.

Running in parallel to Frieze London is Frieze Masters, which will present historical artworks for sale from over. In addition to the main exhibitions are also Frieze’s specially curated projects, film, talks and music programmes featuring new works by commissioned artists.

Tickets are £32 per day and must be booked in advance.
