DACS speaking at UAL conference on intellectual property practices in the arts

    DACS is delighted to be speaking at the University of the Arts London’s (UAL) forthcoming conference, Questioning Rights: Disruptive and emerging IPR management practices in the arts, on Tuesday 21 April 2015 at Central St Martins.

    The challenges and opportunities of IP in culture

    The full day conference will examine the challenges and opportunities of intellectual property rights for the cultural sector.
     
    It will provide the opportunity for a range of professionals in the arts and cultural sector, from archivists to creative practitioners, to discuss and debate cutting edge research and emerging creative approaches to intellectual property management.

    Speaking on behalf of DACS will be Mark Waugh, Head of Research and Innovation, and Tania Phipps-Rufus, who is currently undertaking a period of research at DACS as part of the Creativeworks London Researcher-in-Residence initiative.
     
    Mark will be speaking about Art360, an exciting new project which is being developed through the DACS Foundation to support artists and their estates in managing their archives.  

    Other speakers include Dominic Young, Copyright Hub; Ben White, British Library and Sarah Tierney, We Are Colony.
