DACS supports Bacc for the Future campaign

    In a letter to the Prime Minister, DACS joins over 100 organisations urgently calling on the Government to slow EBacc reforms. 

    On Wednesday 23 January, the Bacc for the Future Campaign handed in a letter to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister calling for the consultation on the proposed English Baccalaureate (EBacc) to be extended and the full impact of the absence of creative and vocational subjects to be properly considered.

    The letter, which was organised jointly with the Ebaccpetition and #includeDesign campaigns, was signed by over 100 high profile arts, creative industry and educational figures and organisations including Ruth Mackenzie CBE, responsible for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad,  Lord Putnam, The National Portrait Gallery, Shakespeare’s Globe, CISCO systems, D&AD, DACS, Design Council, University of the Arts London, Rambert Dance Company, UK Dance, UK Music,  National Union of Teachers and the National Association of Head Teachers .
