DACS announces the winners of its Payback voucher giveaway!

Congratulations to Sue Hendra, John Mitchell, Beverly Philp, Colin Thomas and Chris Warren! They have each won a £100 voucher as part of DACS' exclusive giveaway marking the final month of Payback.

    And the winners are…

For one week only at the start of September, we entered Payback claimants into an exclusive prize draw marking the final month to claim royalties for your UK-published work.

Depending on the day you submitted your claim form, you could win £100 to spend at either Apple Store, Amazon, Hilton, John Lewis or Virgin.

We are delighted to announce our winners:

    Sue Hendra

Sue writes and illustrates children’s books. She has been collaborating with fellow writer and illustrator Paul Linnet for the past 10 years. Their books include Barry the fish with fingers and Norman the slug with a silly shell. Sue has won £100 to spend at the Apple Store.

    John Mitchell

Based in Canada, John has won £100 to spend at Amazon.

    Beverly Philp

Beverly is an illustrator based in east London. She is currently working on a book celebrating inspiring women from the past to the present day. She has won £100 to spend at Hilton Hotels.

    Colin Thomas

Colin is a photographer based in south west London. He shoots book covers for a range of publishing clients as well as campaigns for advertisers. Colin has won £100 to spend at John Lewis.

    Chris Warren

Based in Carmarthenshire, Wales, Chris has many years’ experience specialising in landscape and location photography around Europe. He has won £100 to spend at Virgin.

“Payback has helped me to keep my studio lights on”

Acknowledging the impact of digital on the photographic profession and the diminishing value of stock photography, Chris Warren said: “It’s good to know that someone cares about copyright and usage fees, and that DACS is there to help us.”

Sue Hendra said: “The annual royalty I receive through Payback has been really useful over the years. It has helped me to buy materials and keep my studio lights on. It’s an up and down financial ride being an artist and a little bonus really can make a difference. I urge anyone eligible to sign up.”

Payback closes in just a few days!

Has your work ever been published in UK books, magazines or on TV? If so, you’re probably eligible for Payback.

To get your share of over £5.5 million in royalties this year, make sure you complete our online claim form by midnight, Friday 30 September 2016.
